Welcome to our School

Daniel 2We are always updating parts of the website, so please visit again to keep updated with school events and what’s happening in school. We are a One Form Entry School, and cater for ages 4 – 11.

A good education is one of the most precious gifts a child can receive. We are proud of our school, our pupils, and our successes. Westgate is ‘a great place to be’. The relationship we build with our children and families enable us to create a distinctive ethos.

The learning experience is varied and inclusive. We have high expectations and strive to achieve for all. Ours is a happy school where the success of every child matters. Our staff and governors are dedicated and enthusiastic. We are committed to developing the knowledge, skills, and understanding which enable your child to enjoy learning, achieve success and grow in self-confidence and respect for people and the environment around them.

We are committed to the idea of a partnership in education between home and school. As prospective parents and carers, you are warmly invited to visit the school and meet the staff and children.

Mr. D Terry

17th July, 2020 SUPPORT DURING SUMMER HOLIDAY CLOSURE We are fully aware that the past 6 months have been a difficult time for some of our families and, with this in mind, we will be adding links to our Trust website (cygnusacademiestrust.org.uk), via our school website and school Facebook pages, giving details of different agencies and support services who can be contacted if needed. This will include information on local food banks, websites to support adult and child mental health and well-being, details of where to go for financial support, etc. In addition, we have set up a designated email address – support@westgate.kent.sch.uk. This can be used to contact a staff member during the summer break, with any questions or concerns you may have. It will be checked daily and responded to appropriately. We wish all of you a happy, safe and healthy summer break and look forward to welcoming you all back in school in September.
