We love coming to school and learning how to be a part of the Westgate Family!

In Reception Class we focus on working together, sharing and taking turns so that we can be happy in school and learn together.

In Phonics, we learn many letter sounds and how to blend them together to read and write words and short sentences. We like you to keep up the good practise at home too!

In Maths, we learn how to recognise and write numbers, count carefully and subitise. We begin to add and subtract and explore shape and measures.

We love being creative; painting, building, crafting, singing and dancing. We practise our physical development every week as a class as well as in our own learning time. We enjoy cooking and tasting different foods from around the world in class too and we often go on walks in the local area to help us learn. We have lots of fun learning every day!
