Year 6 Leavers 2021
Class of 2021 – I thought I’d start with some of my favourite memories of you as a class: Victorian Day. You really did get into role and you were all so quiet, just as it would have been in the Victorian Days. I will remember your reactions to the books we read like Varjak Paw, A Monster Calls and Tell Me No Lies. Your Oliver Twist narratives were amazing too. I could see how much you had improved your writing techniques. The perfect pieces of watercolour art on biomes and Victorians, the Zoom games during lockdown, the times table shoot outs – especially being beaten on the rare occasion and some funny class moments , where I tried to hide my smile. When you when you performed Lean on Me using Makaton. It really made me smile. A proud teacher moment.
Our Kingswood trip, your surprised faces on the 3G swing, the determination as you climbed the Leap of Faith, rock climbing and your enjoyment of eating marsh mellows around the campfire singing the Banana song! Let’s not forget the water balloon challenge either.
I know I say this on behalf of Mrs Mantell and all of the teachers and staff that have worked with you, that you are a truly remarkable class and one to be remembered. All unique and special in your own way and we wish you all the happiness in your future journey ahead of you. We will always remember the class of 2021. A reminder to please pop in to let us know how you are doing. We will all be pleased to see you.
On the last note, please always believe in yourself and know that you can do anything with a little sprinkle of confidence, practise and determination. We wish you all the best.
