Responsible Parking

nsible Parking

As a driver you have a responsibility to park in a safe and considerate manner, if you don't you could be endangering a child's life.

Please park with care and help make our school car park a safer place for pupils.

If you need to drive your child to school, for the safety of all our families, please remember:

  • Park only in the parking bays
  • Do not park in the drop off zone, this is for dropping off only
  • No parking in disabled bays, unless you have the correct badge.
  • Please do not block other drivers
  • You must be considerate when driving in the car park area

What can you do instead?

Fewer cars at the school entrance will help make it safer for you and your children.

Park and Stride’ -

consider walking part of the way to school by parking away from the school entrance and walking the last 5 or 10 minutes. Walking half a mile only takes between 8 and 17 minutes. How many calories you burn depends on how fast you walk!

Try Car Sharing -

consider sharing the school run. If you have to drive to school, then get together with other parents who need to go by car and take it in turns to drive.

Walking  -

Walking to school contributes to the recommended daily physical activity for you and your children. It also helps to reduce congestion around the school and helps to improve air quality, providing benefits for everyone.

We currently hold the Platinum mark 2020 for walk on Wednesday.
